I try not to judge people to much on first impression, but on the second or third. Oft times they are correct. However, I've learnt that my dog is never wrong and to exclude people he reacts poorly too.

I don't think that anyone's first impressions are really correct. We make our impressions correct by the way we chose to treat people. If we expect someone to be distrustful, we treat them as if they are and then, strangely enough, they become as distrustful as we expected them to be. When we expect someone to be intellegent, thoughtful and social, we treat them as if they are and not so suprisingly, they become all we expect.
Adults are quite the same as children...if you treat a child with respect, they become respectful. When we treat children with disrespect, they become disrespectful.
I don't think anyone's first opinions of each other are correct. We are what others believe us to be....most of the time.

I am not terribly good at too many things, but I am usually an excellent judge of character. There is just something about a person's behavior I can pick up on right away.

Yes they are.Because people just judge you from whats on the outside. but sometime looks can deceiving.
