Should religious people be thrown into mental hospitals?

Can a person who lives their lives on unproven fiction be mentally stable enough to wonder and interact with the collective? I think not!!!

I'm a straight-A college student, have a great social life, interact just fine with my colleagues and co-workers, and am receiving enough fellowship offers that I should be able to attend any graduate school I wish. In other words, I don't seem to be having any troubles whatsoever in terms of fitting in with "the collective".

And I'm religious.

As to whether or not I should be tossed into a mental institution, perhaps so, but my religion would be the least among the qualifying factors. :)

Some people have faith; others don't. If you don't, then that's your decision, and I respect your choice.

Has the "Big Bang" THEORY been proven with the scientific method? Has anyone repeated it to prove that it is fact?

Has the evolution THEORY been proven with the scientific method?

What is electricity? You know how it works, but what is it?

I think there a lot more people living their lives on unproven fiction than just religious people!!!!

i think everyone is entitled to thing what they want but some time i do question our freedom. these bible bashers are compete and utterly out of their minds if they believe that all the **** in the bible is true and that there is a god. but i don't think they are all dangerous so they shouldn't be locked up. the bible is probably a very good book that has been blown completely out of proportion.
but i do think religion is the cause of most of our earthly problems especially wars. and the fact that laws and bull **** can hide behind it.

but to answer your question, i think only the catholic priests that fiddle children should be locked up. (with someone who believes they are Satan)

Maybe people who believe in wind should also be thrown into mental hospitals because we have no proof it's there. In that case we'd all be in mental hospitals.

There were thousands of people healed by Jesus and his disciples. After the Resurrection of Jesus, Thomas touched the wounds of the Lord. Hundreds of people saw the resurrected Lord. Thousands died a horrible death because they were Christians. I would be crazy not to believe in all of this because of the witness of all of these people.

You'd have to do it on a case by case basis but if you were a doctor presented with someone who heard voices, experienced split personalities, was belligerent to the point of violence and knew that they knew everything about everything would you put them in? If so then the answer to your questions is yes.

unproven fiction~ people live and die thats it, no purpose to life, we are from bacteria, when you die you are done, we arent smart enough to know the Truth, I can not see God therefor he doesnt exist (kinda like wind), and so on and so forth~~~~~~~
