I have in front of me a bottle of red wine, with a screw top (so I can reseal it if neccessary). I am on a weeks holiday from tomorrow, but have to do some odd jobs in the garden. How much wine should I drink? My wife thinks that if I drink the lot, I'll be unfit for the (garden) work tomorrow.

I should add that my good wife does not like red wine, and is currently quaffing beer whilst watching the TV. We are not big boozers, but enjoy the occasional relaxing drink.

It depends how well you can handle your drink. I can drink a whole bottle of white, and still be fit for work the next morning (even early starts). However, anything more than a bottle and I'm gone!

Have you seen the forecast for tomorrow though? It doesn't look good, so I would probably advise staying indoors, thus there would be no problem in drinking the lot!!!

I am an occasional drinker and I can usually drink a full bottle without any problem. I dont drink red wines at all due to migraines from something in the red. I usually stick to the white and love a good chardonnay.

well, I polish off two liters of white wine every night, and am up long before the birds. My friend can pass out from 1 glass. Its all a matter of personal tollerance, I think. Drink till you don't feel like drinking any more. Cheers! Or, have a glass and pass me the rest-that will surely save you from your hangover and you can go potter happily in the garden

So, we all know who wears the pants in your house!!
Get it supped.!...and more besides, if you're on holiday. The garden can wait till the weathers better. You'll know when you've drank too much when you see the 'see ling'.

If it has above 10% (alcohol) I would take it easy, defenetly. If it has up to 10, you can drink more. But don't drink the whole lot by yourself!
