im an attractive/friendly girl who gets approached by guys alot, but theres one guy that i really like @ school, because he's sweet and has a great personality although he is very shy. i've been getting a feeling that he likes me, and last week @ a party he approached me and spent the whole nite with me, i must admit he was drinking, so i'm sure he lost some inhibitions. the next week at school things were back to normal, i still caught him looking/smiling at me, but he didn't approach me and it almost seemed like he was avoiding me. i got angry, because i liked him and thought he was avoiding me. so this past weekend @ another party i completely ignored him and we both ignored each other the enitre nite. later on i overheard one of his friends ask him if he was ok because he looked really upset. the problem is i still really like him and im afraid i hurt him and he doesnt like me anymore. how do i rectify the situation and let him know that i like him? and do i still have a chance?

i must add that i'm in college, and this guy is one of my classmates in the program i'm in, and i see him pretty much every day and i will see him pretty much every day for the next 3 years. So we've been getting to know each other over the past few months and have been pretty friendly/flirtatious up to this point. i'm just afraid that talking to him may make the situation more wierd considering that i do have to see him on a daily basis. is this something i should worry abt, or should i still go ahead and talk to him? up until last week, i was definitely getting the feeling that he was into me.

most of the girls who get approached by guys a lot are aggressive, if you are aggressive to him, he might think you are playing with him. maybe you should find him in a hallway or when hes alone or at a party and then say hey and try not to be so aggressive and talk to him, don't ignore him all the time, most guys who have girls ignored them think the girl doesn't like them.

Yes they do...unfortunately usually as friends. That being said, you shouldn't "act" more macho or any other way for that matter. You need to be yourself and if that is shy and sensitive then so be it! You may not get the girl you've liked since you were a kid but the girl you do get will like shy and sensitive guys and that's what it's all about. Goodluck to you.

Just make a move I'm a shy guy, and I hate when I like a girl and I have to do the first move. I would like it if a girl came up to me and told me that she liked me . That would make it a hell of a lot easier to talk to her if she makes the first move .

yes you still have a chance, its never to late for love, shy guys need to be approached by other people as they are usually to shy to make the first move, trust your gut feeling, let him know how you feel and dont worry this is all part of growing up. some you win some you lose

I think you still have a chance, guys don't stop liking girls for such a small reason. I think you should just ask him out... I know that if a pretty girl asked me out when I was in school, I would have been really happy about it.

Give him a cupcake. Seriously. And just say you liked talking with him at the party and you'd like to talk to him again. Then shut up and see what he does. If he doesn't take the hint, move on.

I am shy and sensitive and single, I wish a girl would just come up to me at work or at school and say How are you today, start off slow. if they are christian/religous they might feel like they need to make the first step, so it can be hard at a first try to become his friend first.

simple- pull him aside and talk to him. you may need to pull him out of his shell a bit if he's shy but the direct approach is in this case the best.
