By birth he was Jewish due to his mothers heritage.
He was baptized into a Catholic family, but left it as a small child and never recieved the other sacraments.
He was Lutheran for awhile but then left it also.
Professed he was a Atheist Agnostic.
After his death the Mormons baptized him and sealed him to Ava Braun in an eternal marriage.
It is also important to note that Hitler Classified anyone who was against the Reich a Jew whether they were Gypsies, homosexuals, ethnic, Catholic, or black. He used the people's anti-Jewish sentiment post the Treaty of Versalies to rise to power. As what was referred to as the "November Criminals", who they thought sold out Germany in the treaty of ending WWI , were all of Jewish Heritage. And also picked up on Martin Luthers anti-semitism since Lutheranism was the official state religion of Germany.
Hitler killed over 11 million people in his death camps 5.75 million Jews, 3 million Catholics, virtually dessimated the Gypsy population of Eastern Europe, 50,000 homosexuals, over 1 million Russians who were at the time professed as an Atheist Country, and hundreds of thousands of others.
For Hilter Jew was a political term.

Hitler was a Roman Catholic who often took mass with the Pope--Hitler also made Christianity compulsory in every German school--& justified his distain for the Jews because they killed Jesus.
Hitler's religious beliefs and fanaticism (quotes from Mein Kampf)
Hitler wrote: "I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.."

He was brought up Roman Catholic, but as he grew older, he began to reject the Church. After he left home, he never attended mass and favored Protestantism over Catholicism.

OOPS Hitler was Catholic, he merely admired Martin Luther often and loudly but he professed to be a Catholic. Hitler was a Lutheran. There are some historians who feel his grandmother was a jewess, most now doubt it, though he obliterated his home town in fear that some jewish blood might be found in him.

Catholic, though there was a small percentage of Judaism in his lineage from his mother. He quoted the Bible to support his actions against the Jews.
