ok i am looking for info on hemodialysis. a family friend it on it and we are trying to figure out how long a person with live on it. he has diabetes. he has also has a triple heart bypass before. he has ulcerator soars on his legs that are oozing. he just has one kidney. if you can tell me how long he might have. or a good website where i can find out please let me know.

I have a cousin that is a sever diabetic. Not sure on the topic, but I think that you could call the doctor and get an update and what you can do to help this person. Signs of kidney shutting down is yellow undertones in the skin, because the body is being posined by its own toxins. Also, is this person taking there medication regularly. If they get control of there blood sugar a lot of these problems can be overcome. However, the damage is done but they can pull themselves through if they concentrate on taking care of themselves. Maybe they should consider a insulin pump that regulates there insilun levels. Hope that they get better.
