I believed for many years. I prayed daily and fervently sought the holy spirit. I started becoming disillusioned when I never received an answer to my prayers, when I never felt the holy spirit in me. After years of feeling like "god" had forsaken me I began to seek answers in other forms of christianity and in other religions. None of them provided any solace. I finally accepted that there is no god and my life is peaceful now.

I don't believe. I think Christianity is inherently no better nor worse than any other religion.
There have been millions of people throughout time that have believed that their (non-Christian) god(s) was/were 'the one(s)' and I can't see any reason to assume that Christianity is any more likely to have a monopoly on the 'Truth'.
So it's not really the Bible. It's the idea that suddenly after many millennia God decides to reveal himself in such an odd way.
As for beating death, well, I don't think that's possible, so I can't see it's 'common sense'. Death is inevitable and a natural thing, so why should we fear it? So as a basis for a belief 'beating death' just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.
Thank you for asking.

I am a very liberal believer. I certainly do not base my belief on the bible, as it is a book written by man to try to explain the way things are. The places I really see God is in the people that surround me. I experience God's love through the love of those around me. When a group of people get together, it's amazing what they can do. that goodness, to me, is how the Holy Spirit manifests itself to us.

I believe because what the Bible says, has been shown to me to be true. When I accepted Jesus as my Savior my prayers began to be answered(as long as I was following His will). I have been in situations where I should have died, but when I cried out to God for help I was protected from serious harm.

I beieve in the God of the Christians and in his Son because what he teaches, works. I think others don't believe because they never tried to do what Jesus says. I do not follow Christian teachings because they imply that the only reason Jesus was here was to be their sacrifice thereby avoiding doing what is taught. Pure Anti-christ behavior, making the messenger important, not the message.

Your movements and the judgment valuable or detrimental will develop into then a count number for God's choose, Christ, doesn't it! the point being that both the Bible is actual, or it isn't. in person-friendly words one element should be actual the position the options oppose one yet another and go away the different element because the lie, and such is this example. there is in person-friendly words sleep eternal for the depraved, it really is likewise called the position of destruction, lack of life. The wish for the righteous useless is the resurrection, a re-advent of that individual into which God places the assistance that replaced into that individual, gender, race, personal ideas, attitudes, and so on. in case your case benefits a tremendous sufficient judgment to benefit both a resurrection or survival of Armageddon won't be able to be suggested, even if, the apostle John tells us something that ought to have relating it - fairly, that the single no longer having faith in the son makes God a liar because God replaced into the single bearing witness about this one so as that each individual who've faith in him may have eternal life. even if many so called Christians make Jesus the God Almighty, this isn't so. he's not to be worshiped yet to receive equivalent honor to God. it extremely is with assistance from the favor of God. John 5:23 that each one ought to Honor the Son, even as they Honor the daddy. He who honors no longer the Son, honors no longer the daddy who has despatched him. Heaven: definitely, the wish for most Christians it extremely is given is to stay in the international in Paradise below God's king Christ Jesus and his fellow joint kings, the Saints. Hitler is honestly no longer there. As John says, no assassin has eternal life! effortless, proper. Son: Jesus is God's heavenly son, from the very starting up, he replaced into/is God's firstborn. the placement with someone being strong isn't one we can remedy. right here also John says that everybody born of God won't be able to sin. So what does that do to those who do no longer profess Christ yet are righteous? it really is as a lot because the choose. even if, i doesn't gamble my functional that.

Neil S,
Christianity is not something that ought to be logically reasoned through, and that is why many atheists think they're so smart and Christians are so dumb. We know that many things can't be reasoned through, but God made it that way for a very good reason. If you try to rationalize your way through life, I promise you will not come to a very happy end!

I do not believe because I have read the Bible and studied the theology. Christianity cannot be made logically consistent with either itself or the current evidence.
Those who do believe either willfully or ignorantly omit the inconsistencies and absurdities.

I am a Pagan, i believe in All gods.
I choose not to worship the Christian God because he uses threats and fear to garner worshipers. and he turns a blind eye to what is done in his name. any god that will claim to be a god of peace and love yet allow armies to march in his name is not a god that i will offer worship to.
my source of information is the history of this world, and the Bible that is the holy book of that god.
even the War gods of us Pagans required a reason for war to be fought, and "They do not believe like we do" was not a good enough reason...there were several just as petty reasons for war, and i feel that all war is petty. i have chosen to follow gods of balance and nature.
