From the wheel to the XBOX 360......So why don't people believe in evolution of humans? Why, if no evolution of humans, weren't there computers back in the day of Jesus?

Evolution(the word and concept) has come to be used in the context of invention, yes.
It is also in many other fields, like the history of philosophy.

Darwin's big idea was not evolution itself.
It was how the process of natural selection could drive it instead of an intelligent force supervising it.
That is the part that actually drives the creationists batty.
With inanimate objects, ideas or genetic engineering it is easy to see humans as the driving mechanism of evolution.
The Creationists want their God in the same sort of position as man has in designing computers, but over everything in the universe.
Now I don't think that engineering over time shows any evidence of intelligent design. If you look at the mistakes you will find a process of natural selection happening. The products best adapted to their time and place survive and others die out.(or are marginalized). You would have a hard time finding a punch card file or the machine to read it today.

If intelligent design/creationism existed for engineered products you analogy would be correct. Computers would have been created in Genesis perfect and unchanging for ever.

You are correct in your analogy. Evolution and selection are working everywhere all of the time.
God is an unnecessary hypothesis.

I'm a definite atheist and evolution proponent but wheels did not self-replicate and create slightly different wheels leading to an x-box. We did.
