Daytona and Talladega are the only tracks that require a restrictor plate. Nascar used restrictor plates at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for a mutually as yet they do no longer use them there anymore.

I do not think the speeds need to be slowed. If I was Nascar I would move the fans up about 20 rows. Then on the cars I would limit the rear spoiler to what it was in the 70's and early 80's. Then I would change the width of the tire from 10 inches to the 8 inches. This would decrease the speed in the turns. They may run 250 mph down the straightaways but when they get to the turns they will have to slow down. Or in other words have to learn how to drive instead of just holding the gas pedal to the floor.

true but so many of the drivers love the restrictor plate races and after lots of continued research, it is the best and the safest way they have anything that slows the cars will make them run in packs at these tracks, plus many fans go to the races and watch them so they can see the big one

Fuel Injectors. They can be set however NASCAR mandates for speed. Besides, carberators are antique technology in modern cars. Nascar needs to bring their engine requirements to be more current with the technology of modern street cars.

make'em run V-6 engines,,raise the spoiler(angle),,the roof could also be raised,,,narrow the tires,,,shorten the race to keep it from being so darn boring,,,,,watching a restrictor race is like watching a IROC race, sooooooooooooooooooooo boring!!
