i have photoshop cs2 but im editing a pic and i want 2 put a certain background how ?

Look at your Layers panel and click the button at the bottom that adds a new layer. Make your background on this layer and then drag it under the layer that was there before. Now it's the background.

add a new layer below to the existing pic layer. then select the background area on pic layer and delete it.
The background layer will emerge in background area.
