Also I am planning on going on the Tram with my friends before or after dinner, has anyone gone on it??Details on the wait , how crowded cost and stuff!
And a place to have fun afterwards please no movies, be specific.
Thanks

I dont know what to tell you about dinner but the portland tram is EXTREMELY SCARY! I had to ride it over the weekend because of a cheer competition in Portland and it was not a pleasent experience for a girl in a mini skirt.

Beaverton:
Hall Street Bar and Grill
McCormicks Fish House
If you're looking for low-key but still good food - Racoon Lodge is nice but not "fancy".

Portland:
If you're going on the tram, Rivers has a great happy hour right on the water. Haven't had dinner there in over a year but last time I did, it was very nice.
You can get all the tram info at:
http://www.portlandtram.org/
It's not very crowded most of the time.
If you're looking at downtown - closer to the Pearl - Henry's, Manzana's, Silk may fit your bill depending on what you're looking for.

Downtown itself - Portland City Grill is a lot of fun in the bar IF you can get a seat. But crowded and noisy but their happy hour rocks!

In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, I recommend Kells Irish Restaurant on SW Second. There's plenty of space for a large group. You can hear each other and still enjoy the musicians they showcase. Most of the menu items are between $5-$10, with a daily sandwich special for $7.

You'll be in walking distance of the Portland Saturday Market on Burnside. That's entertainment (and, maybe dessert). If the weather holds, you can embark on Chinatown or hop over to the Pearl District for an art gallery.

There's a Tri-Met bus shelter on the corner of SW Second and Burnside. Just buy the one-day pass for $4.25, that way you and your friends can go anywhere without fumbling around for change.
