CNN says "these studies have suggested that people who are religious seem to heal faster or cope with illness more effectively than do the nondevout."

I pray....though many prey.
I believe that Jesus taught that we should pray in a quiet room......kind of like meditation....remember the time he spent wrestling with the devil? I figure this is when he had to face his demons, and to decide what path to take.
Prayer helps us to overcome many problems...It connects us to the everlasting now. It helps us to go beyond ourselves and to realize that there is something beyond our own physical existence - that we as individuals are not the be all and end all, and that the physical world is not the only reality. Prayer brings our souls closer to the soul of the world. As above - so below....

Positive thinking is helpful. Its called the placebo effect. Praying also releases dopamine in the brain. However this no proof of effects of praying. Only a week attempt to justify your superstition. Proof would be helling a patients without their knowledge that someone is praying for them. Which other studies contradict this cnn one.
