Hi. I'm leaving sixth form this year after my AS levels. What are my options?

I would like say, something to do with business, but I'm not sure what to do. :(

Is an apprentiship a possibility? Are there any good websites I could have a look at?

Thainks in Advance!

What do you enjoy doing? Any particular favourite subject at school that you may wish to continue further? This website will show you some options and I think gives good information - http://www.s-cool.co.uk/careers_final/default.asp also if you have a careers teacher or someone who can advise you on careers etc speek to them they are qualified to help you and will be very useful. Do a search on the interent and this may give you more information. Hope this helps and good luck whatever you decide to do! :)

With AS stages, a minimum of you have some skills to get you started. although in case you stayed on for a year and have been given your a point's there may be a much wider selection of possibilities. in case you nevertheless prefer to leave then sure an apprenticeship is a marvelous danger, i.e. an administrator place (can earn approximately £2 hundred a week and practice on a similar time as you earn). you could pass on your close by Connexions who help you identify what to do and that they'd furnish you loose taster classes working example you do an afternoon of hairdressing, administration, secretarial etc to be certain what you like.

if male, then i would head for an apprentice place.

many of the old skills are losing workers (skilled workers that is) plenty of NVQ people around now but a full apprentiship is still regarded as better.
there can be a lot of cash in it as well.
female i would go for the buisness side of things, not trying to be sexist, it just seems more females are moving into management now than ever before.

Have you tried visiting Connexions, or speaking to an advisor in your school? Connexions have loads of information on what's available to you, both locally and nationally. They have folders full of career factsheets, college brochures etc and knowledgeable staff who know what options are available to you. They also run regular seminars and events where local colleges, businesses etc come together and show you what's on offer. I went to one recently and it was really helpful.

You either:

Study further (Uni)

Get a job.

I'd go with the latter. No student loans to pay back and I am actually doing a modern apprenticeship alongside my job, funded by the company. Win-win situation!

You sound in need of good advice from someone who understands what your are options are. Try Get Connected (www.getconnected.org.uk). They are very good.
