I believe Jesus is an example to be followed. He came to suffer and die in the cross and forgave everybody that betrayed Him, hurt Him and killed Him. We should forgive our enemies too, just like He did.
His biggest teaching was the unconditional love for everybody around us, but we seem not to understand that. Those who dont believe in Jesus will have to be born again until they learn this big lesson.
Even if you dont believe in Jesus, dont make sarcasm and joke about Him, because sarcasm just show how frightened you are. At least respect that He was a human being that went through things that nobody else ever did.
Peace!

If you're only looking to believe in him for benefits then fall down a well.
My uncle wasn't very religious at first. When he really started to gain faith and a relationship with God his life did a complete turn around. He now has a fantastic job and the perfect house for his family.
I was kind of the same way I tried to gain a relationship with God but I kind of stopped reading my bible and praying. I'd had been feeling like somethings was missing I should have been happy but i felt like I wanted to cry. I didn't know what is was until last night when I looked up the lyrics to a worship song. I then new what i needed. God! <3

You will still have hard times in life. nobody said being a Christian is easy. but the more time you spend finding out about him the closer you will become. so the results will a result of what you put into the relationship and what he needs to teach you. I can promise you one thing the more you believe in him the more fascinating it gets. Think of it an adventure.

Depends on which set of religious beliefs you are following. In addition to the MANY branches of Christianity there are some Jews who believe in Jesus. Muslims don't believe he was the messiah, but they do list him as a prophet. Most if not all of these belief systems will tell you that to believe in him THEIR way is the RIGHT way and that not doing so could jeopardize your immortal soul.

If Christians have it right. you've got it made. If Jews have it right, your prayers were all for nothing. If the Hindus have it right, then the Jews and Christians are on the wrong trail. If the Buddhists have it right, all the others are down the drain.
Don't be too sure of yourself, no matter which religion you follow, you're way back in the minority. Billions do not agree with you. Each is just as sure of his beliefs as you are of yours.

I believe that the historical Jesus was extremely powerful and significant. I just don't like what Paul did to his teachings. Jesus and Buddha are probably hanging out right now.

Those who believe in Jesus Christ and repent of their sins will be with God the Father and His Son Jesus for all eternity. If you don't want to be with them for all eternity, then it doesn't matter what you believe. I am comforted by my faith in Jesus while I'm here on earth, and look forward to the day I can be with Him personally for eternity.

Not much. Many people believe in Jesus, but it's what you do with that belief that matters.

You will be saved from your sins and guaranteed a place in Heaven! "Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31). We can never be saved because of what we do; we can only be saved because of what Jesus Christ has already done for us. Let me explain.
Our greatest problem can be put in one word: sin. Sin cuts us off from God, and sin also keeps us out of heaven. But how can we get rid of our sins? We can't erase them or cause them to disappear by ourselves; we don't have the power. The only way we can get rid of our sins is for someone to come along and take them away for us.
And that is exactly what Jesus Christ did for us. We are weighed down by the burden of our sins—but Jesus took that burden upon Himself when He died on the cross for us. To put it another way, He took the punishment we deserve when He went to the cross in our place. The Bible says, "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God" (1 Peter 3:18).
What must you do? Simply believe that Christ has taken away your sins, and then receive Him into your heart and life. The Bible's promise is for you: "To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). Become God's child today by asking Christ to come into your life.
