I wore black w/glitters to my dad's funeral, only nice black top I had at the time. Thought the thing as a whole was quite tasteful and so did my mom, we were the only family members (yes, we're a very small family). I didn't hold a survey among the other folks but no one ever said anything negative about it.

No. Not okay. Sequins signify a party or a show. A plain black dress or suit is better. In fact, a dress or suit of any color is better than sequins, so long as it's not flashy. I wore a dress of bown shades to my brother's funeral.

I guess if the sequins are not too flashy. Acceptable alternatives to a black dress would be a nice black pant suit, a black skirt or any of those things in a navy color.

You don't have to wear black. Just dress nicely. I wouldn't wear sequins to a funeral.

No, bag the sequins. Even a lighter dress without sequins would be better.

I would have to say no, it would not be a good dress to wear to a funeral. But, that is my opinion.

I would say no. Sequins are for festive occasions.
