Why waste time worrying about the end of the world according to the Bible when science has already determined that one day the sun will consume the planet and there's nothing you can do to stop it?

You think every question has been answered by God? Really? Did God figure out how to make computer chips?
If you have no use for science then why not live without the technology that science makes possible? Turn off the computer. Disconnect your utilities. Don't ride in motor vehicles. Don't eat farmed food or use manufactured goods. Forget about flush toilets, hot running water, electric light, telephone, TV, movies, video games, farm fresh produce, modern medicine, heated or cooled houses, clean drinking water.......well, one could go on and on but you get the idea. If science has no value then give it up.

i suppose you want god to cause the water to flow from your kitchen sink and transport you in a minimal amount of time to your next destination instead of a car. perhaps all that food that you eat should really be thrown aside so that you can go and hunt your own food in a daily struggle for survival. and don't bother getting a flu shot or taking antibiotics the next time you have a bacterial infection.
when you marry and have children, do not use a medical doctor, because that would be silly too. what would be the point of that? and get off the computer.
to put down science because of your belief in god is one of the most immature and ridiculous things i've ever seen here on Q&A. you think that science can't help you yet you are using it to spout your inane question. god doesn't like hypocrites either.

I hope that question was a joke. Or do you actually think there is no point in trying to understand the world we live in. Our world is a beautiful amazing place, the little we understand about nature so far only makes us appreciate more the benefits we can all reap by continuing to learn. If we just wrote off anything we didn't understand as being gods plan we would still be in the dark ages!

Let's talk logically
Usually human CAN NOT believe in anyhing that he CAN NOT see
So God created science & scientists to prove God's existance & how God is great & to make people believe that God exists
Also, some Muslim scientists compared some verses in the Holly Qur'an with some scientific facts & proved that these facts are found in the Qur'an & the Qur'an explains it
One of the most famous scientists in that field is Geology scientist called Dr. Zaghloul El-Naggar
Search on that name & u will find many sites that mentioned that great scientist, he also have his own website
if u wanna some examples & proves about that, i can tell u

Because *I* for one am a scientist and I will NOT nor have I EVER just accepted knee jerk reponses to questions like 'Because I said so" or "Becasue God ___". That's not an answer!! That's like saying common sense is the answer to the world's problems. Well, look at where some people's LACK of "common sense" gets us. Heh. Our current president is a fine example.
Without science, how would you get around? You know it takes chemists and physicists to develop motor vehicles or to discover the use of hydrocarbons for fuel. Or, how about how to determine your "baby daddy"? Without DNA research, that would never be possible. Or, what if you developed cancer? I think you'd be LIKING those scientists who came up with chemotherapy and gamma knife radiation.
Without science we would be wandering around just accepting life and being part of it, without questioning it, or having a reason to want higher knowledge. We would be like robots, just adapting to a world that we can't change or learn from. What's the fun in that?

Yes, well since you feel that way, get rid of your car, your electric, heck better go cut down some trees to build your own house, don't ever go to the doctor, etc. etc.
The answer seems obvious to those with a functioning brain. The purpose of science is to understand our world and improve the quality of life we have while we're on it.

Because science answers questions correctly based upon careful study of the world not by simply making stuff up and pretending it's true. Say no to jesus.
