there is no medical data that supports statements that resistance training stunts the growth of the human skeletal system.

this is one of those stupid old myths that just won't die. a lot of stupid people think that just because many bodybuilders appear to be short that weight lifting stunts the growth.

Only if your in your teens and a wrestler....but you have to be a madman in the gym....like benching 315+, squating 1500+ with <8% body fat...and seriously dehydrated.....so for normal people no it won't stunt your growth.....just make sure you get enough of all kinds of foods.

No, it does not.. If anything, it does the opposite of inhibiting growth by releasing testosterone and growth hormone already in your system. The stunting your growth bs, is a myth.

Ivan, Working out under a coach that knows how much you should be lifting, etc. will not stunt your growth. Smoking will!
