It's a possibility. When your head is so stuffed up, your ears and teeth hurt, and you feel out of sorts, it's sometimes hard to concentrate. We've gone through that here at our house for the past 6 weeks or so.

However, just because your sinuses are congested, doesn't mean they are infected. Make sure you have humidity in your house, especially your bedroom by running an cool mist humidifier during the night; or put pots of water near your heat vents to moisturize the air. Drink plenty of fluids, alternate between warm and cold. Sleep up on a couple pillows to help the sinuses drain. Take tylenol or ibuprofen when the discomfort gets to be too much.

If you continue to have a headache or if you feel more confused or cloudy, or have other symptoms, make an appointment with a doc.

No, pollen in the air and cold wind in your face seems to help cause sinus infections.

Not traditionally no.

Acute sinusitis:

Ethmoid sinusitis (behind the eyes)
Nasal congestion with discharge or postnasal drip (mucus drips down the throat behind the nose)
Pain or pressure around the inner corner of the eye or down one side of the nose
Headache in the temple or surrounding the eye . Pain or pressure symptoms worse when coughing, straining, or lying on the back and better when the head is upright
