They were not wishing, but they couldn't help projecting human qualities onto a Prime
Identity that was beyond description. I realize many of those views of God are distorted, and I'm not even comfortable using the word 'God' to describe that Prime
Moving force that permeates and yet, is beyond everything you can perceive.
Maybe, if you experience first-hand what the writers were attempting to describe,
you might forgive them.

I think there is some truth to the story of Jesus as there is with all myths. I believe the church selectively choose stories best fit their story line and discarded other stories.

No they where taken from local paganism decided upon by a comity of Romans deciding the best way to control the growth in christianity. Say no to jesus.

If you study the Bible you will find from the book of Genesis throughout the Bible it all foretells of the coming of the Savior and God's plan of salvation for his creation.
