I think the "old wives tale " about cats taking a babies breath may have started because a cat laid on or near a baby, actually meaning it no harm, but it's thick hair may have suffocated the baby. I can feel a suction when I put my hand on my car's belly and move it up and down.
So the answer is "no" she means you no harm she just likes to be close to you and maybe wants to SMELL your breath!

A lot of cat communication is by body language. Head butting and rubbing their face into yours is a sign of affection. Also if I've been out to eat our cat will smell my breath to see what it was that I had.

I have one cat that likes to rub his face up against mine. It's as if he is trying to kiss me. He is over 10 years old now and he has been doing this since he was a baby so I think it must be away for him to show affection.

She's just being affectionate.
It is not true that cats can/want to suck your breath. That is a false old wife's tale.
