I just got a prescricption for antibiotics, and it says take 3 times a day. Does this mean breakfast lunch and dinnner or does it mean every 8 hours?

Either way, as long as you get three a day. The doctors usually don't expect you to wake up in the middle of the night to take a pill. Get well soon!

Since it's antibiotics, you want to keep a steady level of them in you all the time. So take them every 8 hours. If it helps, set an alarm clock to remind you.

It depends if the bottle says take three times a day every 8 hrs or just take it three times a day cuz most of the time it will give you a time on how long in between...if ur still unshure call your pharmacy and ask or your doctor !

antibiotics are better taken at equal intervals to maintain a certain blood level, but if it should be taken with meals then it should be indicated in the instruction, then u should have it breakfast, lunch and dinner. so if its not indicated its better to be taken every 8 hours

It's not real important. Your body will regulate it somewhat, Morning, midday, and evening are fine. 6-9 hours works just as well.
