Yes...why hot?
Ice cream can and should be eaten year round. People drink hot coffee in the summer and drink Iced tea in the winter.
Some foods are better suited for different seasons..because they're hearty or rich...perfectly suited for the winter. By the same token, a light cottage cheese salad might not be heavy enough for a cold winter day. But that doesn't mean any of these things can't be eaten year round.

The standing joke around my house is that if I'm hungry for ice cream, forget what the weatherman is saying. . .it's gonna snow tomorrow!
Seriously, there's nothing wrong with eating ice cream during cold weather. I have a theory that when we crave something, our bodies are telling us what they need.
In my case, the ice cream may be some kind of temperature-regulating mechanism to prepare me for the cold weather ahead. We're a lot more sensitive to changes in barometric pressure than we realize, and that may also be my warning that we're due for snow.
Enjoy your ice cream in December. . .it won't do you a bit of harm. If it did, I wouldn't be sitting here, typing this!

NO.
Once I was "forced" to have ice cream in March because the person who invited me insisted that we get ice cream (a cup/jar to be precise). I was freezing and could not even finish it, although the thing otherwise tasted excellent...No way, never if it is cold weather (it made freeze although we were sitting inside the ice cream shop).

I think its OK. Besides, I think i appreciate it more in the cold weather, because I think of what it tastes like...versus when it is hot out and I eat ice cream I am just wolfing it down to gain some relief, not caring what it tastes like, just wanting it because its cold.

Yes! Actually it is better to eat ice cream in cold weather as you minimize the ice cream loss via melting. That and you don't need to worry as much about the sticky goopy hands. If you don't have goopy hands then you aren't using as many napkins. If you aren't using as many napkins then you are doing something nice for the earth.
So really, it is more environmentally sound to eat ice cream in the winter. Especially in cone form!

Yes.. you can eat ice cream any time of the year.
I think I heard somewhere that more ice cream is sold in New England than anywhere else in the US... and it's really freaking cold there more than it's hot. Go figure.

The best time to eat ice cream is when it is cold. It doesn't drip all over everything then.
