Freedom of speech is a dear thing most of us would give our very lives to protect and keep.
Conservative/Liberal and everything that falls between.

It seems to me that most people object to additude of others, not so much the content of what they choose to believe.

If someone came in here and said: I choose to worship monkeys, besides some jokes most would respect their choice and would not be calling for laws to be changed to out-law monkey worship.

It seems to me that the personal choice to be Christian, Jewish, Atheist, Wiccan, Agnostic & everything else is generally accepted and tolerated..

unless...

A finger is pointed with a Holier-than-thou voice is heard. Or an insult is cast all in the name of "I was insulted once by your group".

I mean really... is there anyone here who is really offended by someone "CHOICE" to be Christian, Athesit, Catholic, Agnostic, Jewish, Gnostic etc..

Would we all fight for their rights even though we don't believe them?

I agree. I believe that attitude is. at least. just as important as the content. They need to be balanced. People do need to respect that other people can and will have beliefs and opinions that differ from our own. I am a Christian, but I don't always agree with the way some other Christians answer some of these questions. Some of them tend to be very harsh, and Jesus wants us to be gentle. If I have offended anyone with the way I answered some questions, then I apologize.

This nation will never outlaw religious practice, even monkey worship. A person's attitude and how they relate to the world around them and their fellow man is much more important than whether they belong to faith x or faith y. Extremists will tell you that the most important thing is to belong to their faith, but ignore or deny the negative actions and attitudes of those belonging to their faith. Afterall, if they have the One True Path, then everyone in it must be righteous and proper, right? I would even fight for people's rights to be part of a religious expression that I personally disagree with. The idea that a country could outlaw expressions of personal spirituality is too frightening in it's tyranny for me to allow.

There are detectable neural interest transformations, as there in many circumstances are the place "strategies state" is in contact. for example, there may be a difference in strategies interest between somebody who's examining a e book and somebody who isn't, somebody experiencing an orgasm and somebody who isn't, somebody eating and somebody who isn't. The strategies interest does no longer reason the habit, the habit motives the strategies interest. this is genuine for "non secular people" as adversarial to "non-non secular people". people who "have faith in God" in many circumstances use their endorphins greater in secure states than people who do no longer. this is additionally why people who have faith in God have a tendency to have fewer ailments, get well greater at as quickly as and checklist being happier in many circumstances. no matter in case you think in God or no longer, the counsel in all fairness clean that the act of "believing in God" is sturdy for us bodily and mentally.
