Obviously it is not a sin to defend yourself on a Sabbath. As to leading a battle on Sabbath, that is not either.
Moses did.
Mohammad did. In fact he led a war during Ramadan.
As to Christians I am not sure. All of the Apostles celebrated the Saturday Sabbath and the Sunday meetings. I do not know of any details of battle though.

No. But, when you say the Sabbath, are you referring to the Sabbath as the 7th day in the Torah, or are you referring to the Christian Sabbath that is on a Sunday?
Anyway, I think it is not a sin to fight war on the Sabbath because we are fighting against the enemy who are against the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The enemy is also against Israel and the western world. It is good to do good on the Sabbath, anotherwards, it is good to protect the people from any kind of harm that is against them. To save a life is what God intended all of us to do, not to watch someone die.

Yea its a sin to fight a war on the sabbath, but its ok to blow Innocent women and children away with a car bomb any day of the week. According to the logic of Radical Muslims.

I don't think the enemy would stop fighting just because it's the Sabbath. No, it is not a sin.

Many people have to work on the Sabbath, even though they my not want to.
Hospitals must be open to help the injured and sick, fire fighters must save lives, and power plants must continues to run because we depend on them.
If you ask yourself why the Sabbath exists at all, then you might be able to find your answer.

Isn't it a sin to fight in a war, period. Jesus said if my kingdom were of this world, then would my disciple fight to free me from the Jews, but my kingdom is not of this world.
