Jesus started performing miracles when He was here after His baptism; though He has always been performing miracles---since the creation of the world. "Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made" (John 1:3). Anyone can claim to be God, but what evidence is there to support their claim? The answer is clear: None. But Jesus Christ was different, and the reason is because He not only claimed to be God, but His whole life was a witness to its truth. Because of that, He alone could truthfully say, "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30).
What evidence is there for Jesus' divinity? The first is that of His sinless life—something only God could do. The Bible says Jesus was "tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin" (Hebrews 4:15). Then there is the evidence of His miracles—miracles that demonstrated the power of God.
But the final proof of Jesus' divine nature was His resurrection from the dead. Anyone could claim to be the Son of God, but only Christ proved it by coming back from the grave—an event witnessed by hundreds. Who was Jesus Christ? He was God in human flesh—and He came into this world for one reason: to save us from our sins. Why not open your heart to Him today?

Your observation is an interesting concept. The baptism of Jesus was not the Sacrament of Baptism. At that time baptism was a sign of leaving one way of living (usually sinful) behind and starting over. For Jesus, Who was sinless, it was changing His lifestyle from being a carpenter to His life of ministry. Being God, Jesus could have performed miracles before His baptism. The Bible does not record any before the Marriage Feast of Cana. His Baptism was His coming out ceremony which led Him to go into the desert for 40 days of prayer and fasting.

Able to? no. But ther is no record of miracles before He turned the water into wine at a wedding at Cana, which was at His mother's request. Other than that His miracles were after His baptism, during His ministry years

...no...Baptizism has/had nothing to do with His supernatural miracles... Baptism is an out-word sign of a "dying" to yourself and a rebirth in Spirit... When John was Baptizing he clearly declared who Jesus way and fulfilled Prophesy... Jesus encourages us to be Baptized as a recognition of our belief in "dying to our-old self" and coming up a-new... but He was still fully God and fully Man without the act of Baptism... (great question....) Take the time to read about it in the Gosepls... Matthew Chapter. 3...great reading.

He was always "endued with power from on high"
At only twelve, the elders at the temple talked with him for days, and were amazed at his wisdom.
His parents had looked for him for days, and when they found him he said he was about his fathers business...
He turned the water into wine before his baptism also.
His getting baptized was just to fulfill the law, all of it, for righteuossness sake, but it didnt change him any-he was always "the annointed one" the promised messiah that would comw...emmanuel-God with us-he was "God in the flesh"

No, his first recorded miracle - that we know about - was at the wedding, when He changed water into wine (with God's help, of course)! But He was performing miracles long before then; they probably just didn't rise to the level of what we consider 'greatness'.

Jesus's baptism was the symbol of the start of his ministry. It did not have anything to do with his power.
