I can't see over the edges of the earth, it must be flat.

I can see no reason why this person is ill, it must be demons.

I can't explain those yellow and white balls that chase each other across the sky, it must be the moon-god and the sun-god.

Man this could go on for hours.

THE CREATION OF FACT-SCIENTIFIC PROCESS OF TRUTH: Theory, Discovery, and Conclusion.
Distinction: 1. Two different words two different meanings.
2. Order within the process. One should draw a conclusion only after considering all the facts through a series of discoveries.
3. Most importantly, realize that one must first have a theory, as to explain the why or causes to a certain event. The fallacy is found where pseudo-scientists and so called politicians can lie with statistics. They look for discoveries that substantiates their predetermined conclusions, and wrap it up in a pretty packaged theory called their solution.

The meaning is in the word, but the word is not the meaning. The truth is in the symbol,
but the symbol is not the truth.
Just because someone speaks the words
or holds the symbols does not prove they
know the meaning or hold the truth.
