they do, but not very often, very rarely actually. I think the average human being eats like, 3 or 13 spiders in their sleep over the period of their entire lifetime. Not night, month, year, but LIFETIME. Relax :)

Supposedly, the average person will eat some 8 spiders in a year while sleeping...I've always struggled with that stat as I really hate spiders, but that's what "they" say.
I have had a terrible experience that would skew that number up a bit....woke up one night to the feeling of little bites all over. I thought it was mosquitoes or maybe flea or something. When I turned on the light there were 100's....maybe 1000's of knats flying everywhere in the room over my head. However, under closer examination...a spider egg had hatched and all the little buggers were hanging off of webs (the ones that weren't crawling and feeding off of me) ! CRAZY stuff...bet I ate 50!
sweet dreams....

ive been sleeping every night for 24 years, but i never worried about the spiders. Any crawling/flying living things will surely enter your mouth as long as its open :)

A little girl was playing in the garden when she spied two spiders mating.
"Daddy, what are those two spiders doing?" she asked.
"They're mating," her father replied.
"What do you call the spider on top, Daddy?" she asked.
"That's a daddy long legs," her father answered.
"So, the other one is a mommy long legs?" the little girl asked.
"No," her father replied. "Both of them are daddy long legs."
The little girl thought for a moment, then took her foot and stomped them flat.
"Well, we're not having any of THAT in our garden

YES IT'S TRUE. BUT IF YOU SLEEP WITH YOUR MOUTH CLOSED, THEY GO UP YOUR NOSE, WHICH IS FAR WORSE.
