The Dome of the Rock is supposed to contain the rock upon which Abraham's "sacrifice" was performed.

It also is said to contain the footprint of Christ.

But I, also, wonder where this, or the landing point of Noah's Ark is mentioned in the Koran?

Cheers!

Ibrahim (Abraham) was never asked to sacrifice his son Ishmael. God wanted him to sacrifice Isaac. Ibrahim had already sent Ishmael and his mother Hagar away, because his wife Sarah demanded it of him!( Gen. 21:10)

(Gen. 22:2) God demands the sacrifice of Isaac on an unnamed mountain, somewhere in Moriah.

I didn't know that the Quran mentioned Noah at all.

Where in the Quran does it say that Ibrahim was going to sacrifice Ishmael, just wondering.
