SPANISH 1: "We like ours" (A school)?

I need to now the proper way to translate this into spanish.

Translate the following:

We like ours (a school)


is it "Los gusta nuestros"?
is it "Los nuestros gusta"?

I'm a little confused, clairify this for me please!

Proper translation is: "Nos gusta la nuestra".

Here is the trick: In English, the verb Like is rather simple. A construction with this verb is like the following:

We like our school.
Subject (We) + Verb (like) + Direct Object (our school).

In Spanish, situation is quite different for the verb "gustar":
Direct object becomes the subject, and subject takes the place of direct object, like if you were constructing:
"Our school is pleasant to us" = "Nuestra escuela nos gusta a nosotros."

Thumb rule when translating the verb "gustar":

English: Subject "likes" direct object.
Spanish: Direct object "gusta a" subject.

I like you = Tú me gustas (a mí) = Me gustas tú.

In this last sentence you can see that subject was omitted, same case as in your sentence:

We like ours = Ours is pleasant to us = La nuestra nos gusta (a nosotros) = Nos gusta la nuestra.
