They're not exactly health nuts, but they're definitely not the donuts and little smokie crowd either. I want to send one or two pans of ready-to-eat meals. What's a good dish that'll have all the guys bragging to my husband about what a wonderful cook his wife is? :)

I go on trips with my girlfriends all the time. This is his one trip a year with these guys, so I don't mind at all. Keep in mind though, that suggestions like steaks or ribs don't keep well. I'm looking for something that reheats after 2-3 days in the fridge.

I'm a pretty advanced cook- hoping to find something that'll impress but still feed the soul, you know? It will be in warm weather, also.

Steaks...
BBQ Chicken...
Maybe some potato dishes...
Maybe a hearty pasta dish...

my dad's friends brag when my mom makes her homemade "pot-sticker like" dish... it is a korean dish and EVERYONE loves it.

Ok, first make up a meat and cheese tray. Not just the salami/cheddar thing, really go all out. Next, go to epicurious.com and find a baked penne dish with Havarti. I made that with 3 friends when we were at a lake house for the weekend. I wasn't even a professional cook then but everyone loved it! I made it up ahead of time and packed it in the cooler for the trip. (It doesn't have meat, but you can always add it for those meat-eaters!)

The good old standbys......lasagna and chili.
You can buy some prepackaged salads and salad dressings to go along with this.
Or..........you can cook up a big roast beef or a turkey. They can have for dinner and sandwiches which they can surely do on their own
Nothing wrong with a big pot of stew either and some crusty buns or bread.
Send along supplies of munchies and cheese and crackers and you'll never go wrong.

A crockpot full of sloppy joes always go well anytime. Buy some nice, fresh buns, to go with the sloppy joes, nit the usual hamburger buns. A veggie tray will go nicely with the sloppy joes. You can buy them at the grocery store already made up & the dressing is included. A basket of fresh fruit is nice to have as an anytime snack, as well.

You're so generous. He and his friends rented a house and left you behind? Well if you must, then bake a large pan of lasagna and send a card that reads "Free at last, thank God I'm free at last!"
