If you want to use the "iPod Ready" feature of the head unit, you need Kenwood's KCA-iP500. This allows you to control the iPod with the buttons on the radio, and see the display on your radio display.

If you just want to hear the iPod audio through the stereo, you can use a simple patch cable with 3.5mm stereo mini plugs at each end. You can find these at Radio Shack or any electronics store, but you'll have to use the display and controls built into the iPod.

You can just use a double sided 3.5 mm headphone jack cable and put it in the front auxiliary of your radio...you dont need an expensive ipod interface fancy shmancy thing. It works the same!
