Some churches are just a social gathering.
Because the Pastor preaches, yet doesn't touch on the blood of the Lamb, or other things about God that might offend someone. Especially in worship service. Don't sing about the blood or Gods love & don't lift hands to praise Him. It might offend someone.
So, you may get a growing church but not a growing Church (people truly saved, born of God).
Faith comes by hearing & hearing the Word of God/ Christ. So, hearing a good sermon on line is good. But the bible writes to not forsake the gathering together of the Saints, especially when you see the age of Christ nearing... But, that shouldn't be just a social gathering. It is gathering together with the saints to praise God. Lift your hands. Love God & hear the Word of God preached, that is relevent for the body of Christ preached to at that time in life.
Right now the Pastor preached on marriage. Next Tues I have marriage counseling with my husband at the church. So, I got a CD of the message for my husband.

Pillar, the reason religions favor you to flow to church is to get your money. Religions are promoting something; Forgiveness & eternal life the actuality is they could't furnish both one. in case you damage me out of malice; i'm the in person-friendly words individual who can forgive you, no longer a god or some priest, because i'm the single you damage. As for eternal life, thats a very good promise yet who's going to ***** even as it doesn't ensue? You pay 10% of your income to a church your finished life in person-friendly words to die like everybody else. i replaced into believer so i be conscious of its hard - yet doesn't you somewhat have the actuality of truth than the delusion of a fairy tale?

Well yeah, actually, part of the point of going to Church is to reaffirm membership in a community of believers: that's what a church actually is, the group of people, not the building itself.

Mankind IS social. Church is important because we are like firewood. Individuals tend to go out by themselves. But when they are together, they tend to catch each other on fire.

Not just you. I do all my fellowshipping and Bible study at home. We are not commanded to go to church anywhere in the Bible.
This is one case where I can say what is true for you is not true for me. And I prefer to tithe to the charities of my choice, thank you.
