Hi Ducky,
It is very hard to belive that someone made it to 44 and they are saying they have committment phobia(?)
At 44, I know who and what I want. Be mindful that through life at this age one should be able to observe and learn vicariously through others experience.
Men and women feel differently about things and love and sex are one of them -which makes it difficult because those are very big issues indeed.
Timing has a lot to do with it and you must know that a lady may not view sex as a casual thing, but the man is able to do this without attachment as long as it is allowed.
I wrote a little story kind of on this line. If it helps fine, if not hopefully someone will be able to assist you:

“The Deer Hunter”

There was a hunter who was known as a man’s man. He was kind and gentle yet strong and robust. He loved to hunt deer as everyone knew. It was the thrill of the chase. He would usually go hunting on one of his three day week ends. He did not care if his friends went or not. He loved to hunt. The sheer thrill of finding the deer and scoping it out gave him a rush that no one could imagine. It was so natural to him. He thought that it was just part of his nature and he could think of nothing that could take that away from him.

That is until one day he did as he usually did: packed his gear and got in his jeep for the camp grounds to hunt for deer. He was asleep in his tent and was dreaming about waking early in the morning to scope out the deer and all of a sudden his tent was being unzipped and to his surprise there stood before him a deer-posing and beckoning him to take a picture before the kill. The deer even offered to wait until the morning after the deer set the alarm for the man and snuggle up to keep him warm for the night if he wanted.
The hunter thought, “What madness is this?” ” Now I do not even have the desire for this deer and I will never camp on this ground again if the deer are this easy”. “There is not a thrill in this for me anymore-I will go else where”!
The moral of this story is: are you that kind of deer ladies?

Ladies who have an ear,
Let him hunt for you dear!

"Now That’s Love"

I know what love is like:
Truly loving someone is giving them the freedom to love you or not
Truly loving yourself is choosing to be someone who uses that freedom to love you
Yea, now that’s love
