Can anyone help me with any ideas? I feel if I offer them for say £1.00, some people might only spend that. How do I get everyone to spend £5.00 each.....or more even?

Try to get a good variety of prizes in the raffle.

Have at least 3 really good prizes, you can often get local businesses to donate vouchers or prizes.

Also speak with the people who you are raising the money for, they may have volunteers who can help you.

Finally, don't be shy in detailing your target to raise and what the charity in question will be able to achieve if you reach your target.

All the above - plus offer really good prizes - ask local businesses to donate, don't just stick with asking people to off load their unwanted Christmas presents on you!

Keep a smile on your face as you ask people, and compliment them for something.
