This is a serious curious question, from your own personal opinion. At what age do you think people should date? What do YOU think?
In my opinion, at the moment I stick with "don't date until you're out of college with a steady job"--which I'm sure no one agrees with but makes such perfect reasonable sense to a teen like me. Just wondering what people really think in this concept

You need to date before leaving college - just don't settle down until after. Otherwise, you'll have no idea what you want in a mate - this only really comes with trial and error. As for basing it on age, this really depends on the individual. You should start dating when you're old enough and mature enough to accept the responsibility of dating - unwanted pregnancy, STDs, the usual emotional roller coaster...

it really truely depends on the person, their maturity and mentality and at wha age they reach it...not everyone is the same...by father told me I wasn't allowed to date until I was 21...well i've been dating since I was 17, I found when i made my best choices after 18 because my mentality and maturity were different then, now i'm 20 soon to be 21 at the end of the year. do i think this is a set rule for everyone...no, but i do think that is a nice personal example...it really depends on the person. i think after college and a job is a nice thumb but it's unreasonable no one but you would follow it.
