It is a simple break, depending on your vet $600 plus medications. About 5-6 weeks to heal..Our dog had multiple fractures and had steel rods in for 3 months then they were remioved. In all it was $1000 but that is an extreme case. All the best to your little doggie..

We ended up spending $700-$1000 for our dog's broken leg. That was for three surgeries, painkillers, antibiotics, office visits, and other necessities. That DID NOT include time off of work and away from life to care for her post-surgery.
She was in a splint for several months and still favours that leg slightly.
Cost should really be the last concern. The first should be the vet's experience with leg breaks, especially if you have a high-risk dog (like mine was). The reason we had so many surgeries was because the first vet screwed it up the first time and had to fix it several weeks later. Following this, I changed vets.
Good luck to you. : )

Is your vet going to do the surgery themselves or send you to a specialist for orthopedic surgery.
I'd say anywhere between 500-900 dollars...each vet is different. Then you have to think about pain medications, wound care, and physical rehab therapy.
If you have an established relationship with your vet, they can usually take payments.
However, when I worked with a specialty surgical and oncology clinic, we required 75 % of the high end of an estimate before the procedure was even done...they were expensive, but they were the best!

There are a lot of varying factors involved in a fracture repair, like type and complexity of fracture, other problems (infection etc), age of pet, experience of surgeon, and so on.
A ball park range is anywhere from $500 to $2500+.
A fracture can take anywhere form 4 to16 weeks to heal, and some will never properly heal.

they should have given you an estimate before schedualing surgery. It should take 6-8 weeks to heal but I would give it longer. going to be hard to keep a dog off his leg

the normal is between 200 and 400 depending on the brake. but dogs usually bounce back very quickly, just like children.

It depends on the type of break, the type of surgery, the location, etc. It also depends on your vet's normal charges. Ask your vet for this info- he or she will be able to tell you.
