Anyone have any tips on how to deal with a controlive dad?

He is an *** sorry to say but you know he is a controlloive he says thjat he is trhe king of the house and i have to do everything he says i know it may sound reasonable to you adults an example is for winterformal he said i can go to sadies if my bro goes and when we got home he said that my bro cant go so he made it physically impossible...i hate him haha

Find out what your dad wants from you (peace & quiet, help around the house, etc.) and then ask, "What if I do ______, will you reconsider me going to Sadies?"

At some point you got to move your relationship to the adult-adult level which means your behavior shows you are more responsible and that he can trust you.
