jibba-jabber on here is the only one I know of. Being atheist doesn't necessarily protect one from dumb ideas or being bigoted.

Not me. I have had lots of dialog with other atheists over many years, and have NEVER heard ANY of them say homosexuality is bad. I'm sure there are a few, but because it would not be motivated by religious doctrine, it's hard to imagine why they would hold such an opinion. Most atheists are highly resistant to the irrational fears that fuel prejudice. In fact, gays and atheists have something very important in common: we are among the very last groups (in the US at least) to be considered acceptable targets of prejudice. I think wiccans, devil-worshipers, and polygamists probably also fall into this category.

I think every person, religious or not, has their own opinion on sexuality.

However, I've only ever heard 2 arguments against it.

#1. It's not natural. Which is stupid. There's tons of homosexuality in the animal kingdom. And they still manage to reproduce.

#2. It's not biblical. Who cares? If you want to place your trust in a book, that's *your* business...but it's not your place to apply your beliefs to anyone but yourself. And a biblical argument has no place in government...as a reason for not allowing same-sex marriage, for example.

Now, to actually answer your question ;-p I am an atheist and I hope that a persons gender wouldn't affect whether or not I could love them any more than the color of their skin or if they wear glasses.

Atheists follow no set of rules as far as religious beliefs go.

Therefor it is entirely possible for an Atheist to think that homosexuality is bad. Just like I think that eating insects is bad...same concept.

Atheists think for themselves, not because someone or something dictates what's right or wrong. Which to me makes them all the more wonderful. To have the ability to think for yourself and make the right decisions without some book or preacher telling you....

Many non-religious people find homosexuality to be "wrong" in the sense of "disgusting" or "unnatural" but not in the sense of "sinful."

"Disgusting" is just a judgement of asthetics. I think peaches are disgusting. That is my personal opinion. I may even not want to be in a room with someone who is eating peaches (the smell sickens me) but I don't think the person who eats peaches is "wrong."

As far as "unnatural" goes, how many behaviors in a hetero's bedroom would be considered "unnatural?" I know I've done, & will do again, many things one might consider "unnatural," in a strict sense. I don't care. It's my business!

As an atheist, I think that moral rules should base on reason. For example, anything that does harm to someone should be considered immoral. Since homosexuality does no harm to anyone, it is not bad or immoral in my opinion. It seems to me that most atheists share this view.

I consider myself an atheist, and I don't think there's anything wrong with homosexuality. I can't see the reason any atheist would find being gay wrong, unless they are homophobic. (I also can't see why religious people find homosexuality wrong, but that's a whole other discussion)

I think it's mainly people from certain - not all - religions who have a problem with people who are homosexual.

What other reason would there be for caring what other people prefer in a partner?

Any atheist who thinks homosexuality is bad is probably a homophobe just like the Christian homophobes who think homosexuality is bad.

Personally I don't swing that way, but I don't hate them for it. There are some features of the *gay lifestyle* as presented by the media that I consider distasteful. (Pink Flamingo lawn ornaments for one thing) However if there were No gays there would be nobody we could ask which movies to take our women to see, which wine with the meals in the restaurants, or how to *dress for success*.
