I am an EE and when I graduated the doors that opened were awesome. My one caution would be that the first job you choose to accept, and the offers will be many and varied if you do well in school, will go a long way toward determining your future options. I have made a career in tech sales and teaching at seminars. I did not want to sit in a lab like many engineers do and I like to travel.

Depending on your specialty you can work for power companies, the computer industry, silicon industry and oil companies. You could also work for delivery companies like FedEx. I know electrical engineers who have good paying jobs there.
