In New York City, can you bring a bicycle on a bus (MTA Bus or NYCT Bus)? I know you can bring them on the subway, but is it possible on a bus (in particular, the Q65A)? Do any of the buses have bike racks?
I know this is sort of redundant, but I have people coming from places as far as Astoria and Jamaica that might take the subway to the Q65A. I know it's not far, and it's not even a 10-minute ride from the train to where we're meeting (Meadow Lake), but some people don't know exactly how to get there, and the bus stops right across the street from there.
If it is legal, do you need to pay a fare for the bike (will they charge you another $2)?
Thank you.

In regards to the first answer, thank you. Actually, thanks to the work of Transportation Alternatives and other similar groups, it is now legal to bring your bicycle on the subway. However, there are many rules. Anyway, thanks!
