Why do people think that marrying young girls is bad?

I think men should be allowed to marry and sleep with girls a lot younger than they are. Not that I would do it here, because it's illegal, but I think it should be. I think the age that an adult man can marry a female should be lowered from age 18 to age 12. Maybe 5 years old is too young because they are too young to understand, but I think a 13 year old is easily capable of making an informed decision.

A child that age is too trust worthy and don't understand men can be dangerous. Also, a females body isn't quite ready for intercourse at that age. The younger a female the higher the chances of dying in childbirth. Children need time to grow up before they have to make grown up decisions. When you marry someone it should be for love and companionship. When you marry a child it is just for sex and your own perverted fantasy. I hope a cop reads this and you get put on a sex offender watch list. By the way, you are sick and need professional help. It isn't the middle ages anymore. Why don't you try to evolve a few hundred years.

You can't be serious.

It's the pedophilic nature in all men to want a young girl to deflower, to look at, to call their own. That most men don't act on it is a Godsend.

I know some 27 year olds that are still too young to make "an informed decision" about most things...much less marriage.

Marriage isn't for the immature. Most 12-18 year olds are mature enough to take care of themselves much less a husband or children.

I don't think there is a problem with age difference--but I do think they need to be atleast 18 yo-if not older. Let them enjoy life alittle before committing for the rest of their life. I know several different men that have married very young girls and have had many problems--alot due to the fact the girls were still quite immature. A 13 yo looks mature and can act mature but mentally they are not!

Ummm.. no they're not. no one's mind matures that early. and maybe 5 years old is too young?!!? OF COURSE ITS TOO YOUNG!!! AS IS 13 and 12!!!!

Mate...They need to live their life. If u get married at 13 u have hardly had a taste for adult life. They will soon want divorce. Plus they arnt going to have that sort of commitment. KEEP IT AT 18+, its there for a reason.
