It is spreading and red and sore. I am even getting it on my face. I think it is food allergy based as I took a course of piritron last year and it all went away. Has anyone tried a UV room as my dermotologist says may try that next?

Thanks

If you wrap porridge oats in a piece of cotton cloth and put it under the tap as you run a bath, you can bathe in the water. Do this regularly and things should improve.

The UV rooms work very well, however, are known to be a cause of cancer, so make sure you do your homework. My husband has psoriasis and the only thing that ever worked for him (even over prednisone, methotrexate etc...) was the uv treatments. He also has good results now by simply laying out in the sun to keep his skin clear after the treatments.
(only thing is, I swore I was married to a black man for about 6 months..lol talk about a healthy tan)

Not easy, but I would not recommend UV, it could aggravate the skin degradation.
Every person is different, but the essential mid path to follow is:
1. change your diet to high fruit & vegies.
2. Ensure there is at least 1 apple & 1 carrot per day
3. Get you vitamin C level up at least 500mg 2X a day.
3. get a cheap aqueous cream & add to it lavender oil (NOT lavindin) ~ 10 drops per teaspoon, gently rubb into skin.
4. ensure you get exercise to get your heart rate >100 for 30min >3X a week.
5. If the watert in your area is low in magnesium, have 250mg epsom salts a day.
6. Increase your water intake by 2 glases /day
7. Ensure you have omaga 6 (raw sunfolwer seeds 1 tbsp/day) & omega 3 (ground flax seeds 1dsp/day)

Ask to be referred for UV treatment. My husband has this done when his psoriasis reaches 40% body coverage. Three days a week he spends two minutes under a high-strength UV light. After a couple of months... no psoriasis.

You might try taking Lecithin internally and Vitamin D. Also It would not hurt to apply thre lecithin to the sores. This should be done in conjunction with sunbaths.

My dad's too tight to buy the expensive cream for his psoriosis, but when he sits out in the sun 20 min. a day with shorts on the spots on his legs fade in a couple weeks.
