I think it is a humbling experience when Muslims from around the world of all races come to one city dressed the same, rich no different than poor, to express their faith to their God.

The way I see Hajj Is, it's almost like how Christians have Batisims...
When A Muslim goes on Hajj, It's something he wants to do for God and himself, it is meant to be a cleansing process, cleaning of the soul and to get in touch with God...
Christians believe that their batisims cleanse the soul and erases sin...
Muslims believe the same when they go on Hajj.
It is written in the Quran that every Muslim should do this at least once in his life if possible...

Its important to the muslims and unimportant to nonmuslims. What do you mean, is it pointless? religion as a whole is pointless to some people. its something that is part of being a muslim to others of course it will be pointless. but no muslim thinks its pointless

Once in every lifetime.. it summarizes the story of life, being naked save a cloth like a baby blanket, you are isolated from the outside rough world, you drink clean water and run as you run between your life... Seven stones to keep the devil at bay...

Should there be a great harsh.. a great procurment.. do we get to know Allah better? yes, but you know yourself as well...

Faith is a terrible thing to waste...
