Those who do are probably insecure in their beliefs. Not secure enough to admit that they may be wrong, so they feel a need to assure you (in actuality, themselves) that they're right.

I will not KNOW that my car will get me to work today until it actually gets me to work. And thats the Truth.
Assumption that the physical world correlates with your conscious knowledge of reality. Not necessarily proving it will work the next day (and that's the truth).

In a sense, "truth" and "faith" are interchangeable terms. Sometimes they are not. You cannot know something to be the truth without faith, even a little faith. [Even faith as small as a mustard seed...]. Jesus said He is the way, the truth, and the light...then he asked, "Do you believe this to be true?" You just cannot know the truth without having faith...

That is an example of how the Biblical word faith is misused today. It's sad. It is not the same as Faith in God.

they're utilising the know-how in the classic sense in that they are speaking approximately what rather is genuine approximately Jesus (in accordance to their worldview). You probably have a distinctive worldview, and hence have a distinctive set of ideals. I project everybody to learn their worldviews to work out in the event that they make sense of the international. I mean, rather project your worldview, the failings you carry as popular. BTW, I contend that even after your motor vehicle gets you to artwork, you nonetheless do no longer and can never be attentive to that it will get you to artwork (destiny). All you be attentive to is that it DID get you to artwork (previous). Philosophical quibble.

Some do seem to imply absolute truth when speaking of their beliefs. What they should say is it's the truth to them - which is closer to reality.

Stop asking them to be logical. It gives them pain.
Oh, and Eastern religion acknowledges a lot of things are taken on faith. And some aren't. Plenty of our "beliefs" are simple observations. More like philosophy.

some don't understand the difference, while others are following Goebbels' advice to keep repeating lies until they're accepted as true.
