She probably has allergies/dry skin. Try feeding Omega Fish Oil in the diet, eliminate wheat products from the diet. Grocery store dog food is full of fillers and grains, purchase quality food from your vet or a feed store. If they scratch/itch above the tail near the rump, it's allergy problem. If it's itching on the underside of the tail, hair coming out, and obsessive scratching, the anal sac is likely plugged. Most people don't want to express the sac themselves, so most go to the vet to have it done.

Examine the dogs skin for dry or flaking skin or reddened areas. This can be caused by allergies to the groomong products used or even the ingrediants in the food they eat. I have a boxer with severe food allergies. Ended up using a food based on fish rather than beef or chicken or lamb. Worked wonders on his itchiness.

Fleas/ticks are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

She may have dry skin or another skin problem. There's no need for an inside dog to be bathed very often. They need to build up some natural oils. Only bathe when absolutely necessary using mild dog shampoo, or if they have one for sensitive skin , get that one !

I can think of two possibilities right off the bat.
1) Your dog has dry skin. Try adding oily stuff to his diet and using a milder shampoo.
2)Your dog might be allergic. My parents' beagle used to suffer terribly with itching until they found a food for him with as few additives as possible.
I hope this helps!

It could be dry skin or allergies. To rule out allergies take her for a checkup. Be sure your pet is bathed with shampoo for dogs only..Human shampoo will dry out a dogs skin.

He or she have dry skin. you may want to reduce the number of times your doggie gets a bath, over batheing can give a dog dry skin. petco or petsmart should have something for them.

Maybe your are bathing her too much. You may be drying out her skin. Instead of bathing her just brush her. It sounds like she is having an allergies attack.

Some dogs have dry skin, also sometimes a dogs food can make them itchy especially if you have changed it, dogs also can have allergies. Their dander can also make them itchy too.
I hope that helps
