I am a Buddhist of the Theravada tradition. The Lord Buddhas Dharma or Teaching is based on the original Pali Canon. This Canon is in 3 parts known as pitakas and is grouped into what is called the Tipitakas or 3 baskets.
Teachings of the Dharma are based on these Tipitakas.
There is no book or Bible but there are excellent Teachings from recognised Buddhist Teachers known as Bhukkus. Many of these Teachings are grouped together on various sites and come in both aural and written form. They cover eveything from the Buddhist Basics to more esoteric and therefore more Advanced topics such as advanced meditation techniques and advanced training for the Teachers.
The following sites offer a very comprehensive database from which to begin and offer the information in an easy to follow format. I hope that you find them useful...

It's translated in English.
It is a religous text called the Dhammapadha. Basics of ancient Buddhism.
NOT THE BIBLE no dogma involved. Just a description of a way of life and WHY. The Bible never explains just commands
Eight Fold Path and Four Noble Truths are not books per say. They are Buddhist beliefs. Very logical. They are presented in the Dhammapadha.

Tripatkas, - the 45 yrs. of Siddhartha Gautama's teachings.
There is no Buddhist Bible/Qur'an/Tanak,
etc. that a deity god/spirit wrote through men as religions teach. Do realize, other teachers/prophets/saviors of other religions
had their ministry for 3 & a half to 15 yrs. The teaching ministry of Siddhartha
Gautama lasted just over 45 years. All he said, and is written down takes up countless huge volumes of books.
There are excellent sources to learn about Buddhism from, containing information about the Tipatkas as well. Remember,
the Tipatkas were written over 2,500 yrs and serve "as a guide" not as a set of Commandments which we must obey, or else their will be eternal fearful consequences, as like other books
of other religions. Buddhism teaches that human beings are responsible for their own peace of mind, and happiness. With every action{Karma) there are always consequences. Buddhism is not a way of life based on faith, as are other religions, Buddhism is based on reasoning, logic, and mindfulness {Insight Meditation). Our values, morals and ethical standards are based on the 4 Noble Truths, and The Noble Eightfold Path.
Buddhism is a sociological, philisophical,
psychological Way of Life, which brings the individual following it {the Eightfold Path) & practicing it peace of mind, and happiness.
The 4 Noble Truths and The Eightfold Path {which is the 4th Noble Truth) is the foundation of Buddhism, which Can bring mankind Peace on Earth, for as long as the human race continues to be the dominant species.
Gaz, I noticed, provided you with two excellent sources already.

There is what is known as the Gospel of Buddha, by Paul Carus. It isn't a Bible, per se, but it points out what Buddhists should do in order to achieve enlightenment. There are also a variety of websites, such as http://www.buddhanet.net that can help point you in the right direction. I go to the Daily Enlightenment page to pull some inspiration for my day.
Hope this helps!
