I mean, laptops do get hot after a long time, and it's on my lap the whole time. It...Just makes me wonder...and worry. Because a lot of people say so, that you shouldn't, it could get you cancer or something, but lately it was the same thing with cellphones. However, people discovered that cellphones DO NOT make you get diseases. Is it the same???

No... its just paranoid propoganda. You will be fine. Theres no radiation coming off laptops or they would NEVER have made it on to the market.

The laptop has to be place on a flat surface.
What you can do is get a 1/2 inch plywood Bord just a little bigger than the computer.
now you can place it on your lap, like this you won't feel the heat and the machine will be cooler

PD I already patented this Bord, but when it gets on the marker will be made of plastic and detachable.
this way you can place the notebooks any where, like over a rug, on the bed,etc

Heat might irritate your skin

I haven't heard about any diseases. But I did hear that the heat from a laptop/notebook computer can cause fertility problems for men. Evidently, the heat interferes with sperm production.

if your laptop is getting really hot and you are sweating because of it you might get a heat rash from it.

No one knows for sure as they are still too new - but if it is made by Dell or HP check the battery to see if it is one on recall or you could wind up with burns from the self combusting batteries.
