No caffeine or sugar! That means no cokes or coffee at work, but after exercising all day and a warm tub bath, you'll sleep like a baby! Some folks need a special blue light to shine in their face early every a.m. for an hour. Has something to do with their body's rhythm! My grandaughter uses the light after much research and seeing a sleep specialist!

Look into a number of things:
1) What do you eat for dinner. Some foods release more energy than others and could keep you more alert than you need, at this point in your life.
2) Make sure you don't have any stimulant (such as caffeine)
in the evenings (chocolate is another one).
3) Make sure your body is physically tired when you go to bed. We do that by exercising you know.
4) Check any meds, prescription or not, that you have been taking, look for side effects (example: anti depressants will keep you sleepless)
5) Check the number of hours you have been sleeping. Most people need a full 8 hours, but a good number of them functions perfectly with less.
6)Last but not least, try to pay attention to what goes on in your mind while you are in the state trying to sleep.
See if you have some unresolved issue with any one, or anything in your personal life that your subconscient thinks you should change.
Good luck with your analysis.

I've always hated taking drugs, but I've found something that works for me without drugs. Melatonin and Valerian Root, available at drug and health stores and walmart.(walmart is cheaper)They contain no drugs, are completely natural herbs and work better that sleeping pills. I take two of each about 30 minutes before bedtime and am asleep almost instantly. You may need to experiment to see which combination works best for you. Just one of them by themselves might work for you. One downside. The Valerian Root has a pungent odor, much like sour milk, but you get used to it. Good luck and sweet dreams.

Try to limit the amount of stress, and you may have to seek medical help, they have pills out there to help with sleep. Good luck!
