The bible also says "An eye for an eye". Does that sound like something a God who encourages forgiveness would say?

(and of direction, whilst making this argument, atheists are assuming the Bible to be genuine) Atheists on no account anticipate that. all of us understand the different is genuine. The bible is fake. And sorry, i do no longer understand a thank you to respond to this question because of the fact it is not clever. a guy or woman no longer having to stay life in soreness merely is clever. Why do you pick human beings to harm?? If I ensue at your place, tie you down and start up beating you with a bat you think of this is honest to you? if so, please clarify how interior the international you should sense that way. If no longer, question solved. Edit: it is one in each and every of those strange question. you're asking atheists to describe how some thing could be genuine if it is not interior the bible, yet atheists contend that the bible is lies, fairy thoughts, myths, etc. Edit: ok, in the beginning, making an "if" assertion does not equivalent an assumption, yet in line with possibility we are arguing semantics at this element, so i will enable that one flow. Secondly, might I even have your handle so as that as quickly as i'm feeling offended i will come there and kick your a**? Seeing as the way you spot no longer something incorrect with that. And Christians attempt to call atheists immoral...easily! If there is not any longer something incorrect with hurting yet another being, then why can we've rules against it? Are all regulation enforcement workers heretics on your eyes? the burden of evidence isn't on me. i'm merely rightly going to call you a weirdo and flow to mattress. you're chilly and unfeeling and it is making choose to vomit.

The bible might discuss the question why there is pain and suffering in the world. But the bible is biased. The bible presupposes that there is a god. Therefore the arguments of the bible are not valid.

In order to make a discussion valid, you cannot rule out any explanation beforehand. And one possible explanation for the fact that there is much pain and suffering in the world is that there simply is no god.

Atheists would be highly unlikely to wonder "why God" makes anything happen. Those questions are more apt to be from believers.

The Bible explains a great many things, such as the origin of human life, for example. The problem is that the explanations have very little relation to the actual facts.

We are not here to have a easy time, we are her to learn. We must feel pain and sadness so that joy and happiness can be felt. What a boring life we would have if there were nothing to feel. I think atheists believe whatever they need to so that life is easier on them. Just like Christians believe what they need to to get by. life is hard...who cares if someone doesn't have the same religion than you. mind you own p's and q's instead of judging others. The bible only helps people who believe in it...other people have different beliefs.

How can the bible explain anything? If I give 10 people a scripture verse, I will get 10 different explanations as to what it means. There is no truth in the bible.

Yeah, and if god is in a bad mood he springs a job on your *** just for the hell of it. Why would anyone want to worship god if it puts you in the position that job found himself in? It seems that the holier you are the more likely that god will gamble with your life. Does it explain that in the bible?

You don't need ancient history to tell you why these things happen. Look at what people do to each other on a daily basis, and you'll understand that all of this so-called "unnecessary" pain and "suffering" is self-inflicted and completely reversible, if people are willing to actually cohabitate peacefully with each other and nature.

From what I remember of Job, it meant that god was trying to prove something to the devil. So apparently bets with the devil rank higher on gods list of important things than the people he supposedly 'loves'.

Actually, it doesn't. At least, not in any satisfactory way.
The spirit has to guide the reader to a hopelessly twisted interpretation that is argued by even the most ardent christians.
