Is it possible you can have light to dark skin.?

Mi background is filipino,spanish & i have chinese in me from my great grandparents. And I have light skin. But I want a medium tone. My mom has light skin and my dad is dark/medium skin. Is it possible that when I get older my skin will get darker? or will it stay light? just wondering...

The color of your skin is caused by the amount of melatonin in the skin. That probably won't change with age. This may sound corny to you, but if you have healthy skin be glad, no matter what color! Look around and you'll see a lot of people who'd love to have your healthy...light... skin :-)
